Look at the shape of your roof sheet’s corrugations

Measure the Pitch, Depth, Crown, Though and Spread of the Corrugations

Pitch: Measure the distance between the peaks of two adjacent corrugations.

Depth: Measure the height from the bottom (valley) to the top (peak) of a corrugation.

Crown: Measure the distance between the peaks of two corners

Through: Measure the distance between the peaks of two corners

Spread: Measure the distance between the peaks of two corners

(Make sure it’s safe as the edge can be very sharp)
To take a rubbing firmly hold a piece of paper or card against the corrugated roof sheet edge and rub a soft crayon or pencil to highlight the shape or the roof sheet profile and illustrated in picture above.
